About Our Internship Program

 

The internship program is an unpaid opportunity for undergraduate students, seeking academic credits for the (fall, spring, summer) semester, to gain excellent hands-on job experience in the radio broadcasting industry. If you

Whether your dream career is hosting a morning show on the radio, mixing in a night club, becoming a marketing expert, or directing movies, there are plenty of internship opportunities at Taboo Talk and to immerse you into the world of digital media.

We offer internships during all academic semesters (spring, summer, and fall) in many of our business departments.

 

 

Types Of Internships Available

Online/ Video

 

ï‚· 1.looking for creative interns to assist with station website development

 2. Duties include: creating Flash and static banners, designing special promotional pages within station websites, providing live web information feeds from station events, uploading photos, creating online listener surveys.

ï‚· 3. Assist with video production: shooting, editing, and creating graphics and more.

ï‚· 4. Interns will learn about web design through a hands-on approach in the field.

ï‚· 5. Writing articles and assisting in research of entertainment topics

Promotions/ Marketing

 

ï‚·  1. Must be able to commute to and from the offices and our Studio in New York, New York.

ï‚· 2. Some nights and weekend availability is required

ï‚· 3. A working knowledge of the tri-state area and mass transportation is recommended

ï‚·  4. Interact with listeners at station events ranging from retail appearances to club events

ï‚·  5. Assist with station concerts and events, acting as a liaison for promotional events

ï‚·  6. Perform data entry and internet research projects, and assist with filing, mailing and other office duties as assigned

ï‚·  7. Maintaining a listener database of station contest winners

ï‚·  8. Writing copy, distributing and compiling daily prize sheets

ï‚·  9. Contacting daily winners to follow-up with prizing

ï‚· 10. Actively pulling content to maintain the station website with content, graphics, pictures, web contests and other interactive media

ï‚·  11. Ensuring that station vehicles are packed to successfully execute station events

 12. ï‚·  Representing station in a positive manner at station events

Programing/ Production

 

ï‚·  1. Responsible for assisting the Program Directors and on-air talent with daily tasks as well as special projects

ï‚·  2. Duties include: contesting, screening listener calls, and updating jock personality pages

ï‚· 3.  As a production intern, you will learn what it takes to put together a live show by working closely with our programming and on-air staff
